Rugby Min We have a highly successful rugby minis section, catering for boys and girls from 5 to 12 years old, which plays on Sunday mornings during the season from 10am to 12 noon. Training sessions are fun based with competitive fixtures arranged. The highlight of our season is our own festival when over 600 children come from all over the South East to play at our club. Training and matches are supervised by qualified coaches, several of whom are members of the club’s senior teams and many are parents. All parents are encouraged to get involved with coaching, administration, fund-raising or just socialising. Cricket Minis The longest established minis section at Old Colfeians is the cricket section. During the summer school term, we have teams entered in the North Kent League at the following age groups: U11 (two), U13 (two), U15 (two) and U16. Most U15 games take place on Sunday mornings, and U16 games on Friday evenings. Other age groups play on midweek evenings. There is an U9 squad which play softball games and tournaments and a small number of hard ball friendlies. Training takes place on summer Sunday mornings for the U11s (Year 6 and below) and Tuesday evenings after school for the over 11s (Year 7 and above). There is also a girls squad which meets on summer Wednesday evenings and plays matches against local opposition. We hold regular indoor training sessions for all ages on Sunday mornings at Colfes Leisure Centre from 11.30 to 1.30, from the third Sunday in January until the season starts. Old Colfeians Cricket Club is a founder member of the Greenwich Cricket District Development Group, and through this we feed colts in the District teams at U10, U12 and U14 levels, and thence into Area and Kent County squads, according to ability.
