Badminton The Badminton section runs a small friendly club with around 25 to 30 members. We have one court and two club nights, Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting around 8.00pm and finishing when we’re too tired to play on. Fortunately not all our members turn up at once on these two nights, so usually we get plenty of games. There is a mixture of league players who enjoy playing in one or more of our five teams and social players who prefer to just come along to our club nights. We hold a club tournament, the Byatt Cup, in September, which always proves to be a good battle between all taking part. The club has players of mixed abilities. However, as we can’t offer any coaching, complete beginners would find it difficult to start with us. The annual club fee is £130 a year, which includes membership of the Colfeian Sports Club, then £1 per club night and £3 per match, which goes towards shuttle costs. Visitors to pay £4 per night.
